Youth and adult servers help the priest during Mass and other liturgical services including weddings and funerals. All servers should understand and be able to follow along with the order of the Mass. Servers also need to be comfortable walking in procession, holding the sacramentary for the priest when it is time for prayers, setting up the altar at the Offertory, and helping with incense for special occasions. Servers are scheduled on a rotating basis depending upon how many servers are part of the ministry.
