The Hmong people came from the mountains of Laos and Thailand. About 100 years ago, they were introduced to the Catholic faith. The Hmong Commission continues to share and spread the Lord’s teaching among the Hmong community in Sheboygan County. The commission also works to preserve the Hmong language. Anyone is welcome to help who is kind, open-minded, and willing to work with a team. The Hmong Commission meets at 6 pm on the third Thursday of the month in Van Treeck Hall at St. Peter Claver. Meetings last one to two hours. Commission members also work on projects for an average of one or two hours each month.
