The Sheboygan Southside Catholic Parishes are proud to offer Sensory-Friendly Masses designed to create a welcoming and inclusive worship experience for individuals and families with sensory sensitivities.

What Is a Sensory-Friendly Mass?

A Sensory-Friendly Mass is a liturgy adapted to support those with:

• Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Developmental disabilities
• Mental health challenges
• Alzheimer’s or dementia
• Sensory processing differences

These Masses feature:

• Softer, less dynamic music
• Dimmed lighting
• Visual aids and pictorial resources
• Shorter, more literal homilies
• A stigma-free environment where movement, vocalizations, and alternative seating are welcome
