The Human Concerns Commission serves the needs of people in our three parishes and local community. They encourage the active participation of parishioners, other churches, and community organizations to meet those needs to solve social problems.

Human Concerns ministries include the Tri-Parish Food Pantry, Elizabeth Ministry, Warming Center, Birthday Card Ministry, Community Café, Prayer Network, Giving Tree, and the Green Ministry. Members of the Human Concerns Commission serve as liaisons to these ministries, raise awareness about local, national, and international peace and justice issues, and write bulletin articles to promote outreach topics. Volunteers should have a passion to help those in need, the ability to share ideas, and a willingness to serve. The commission meets on the third Thursday of the month at 6 pm for about an hour at St. Peter Claver. Volunteers generally spend another one to two hours per month doing human concerns work in the community.
