Cantors and choir members lead the congregation in songs, enhancing the worship experience and helping the congregation express their faith during the Mass. Cantors stand in front of the congregation to lead the singing, sometimes singing solo parts, such as the verses of the psalm. Choir members stand together as a group, blending their voices to sing in unison or in harmony. Cantors and choir members for the Mass in Hmong should be able to speak and read Hmong fluently. They also should know how to sing and should be able to read music. High school students and adults are welcome to participate. Cantors and choir members can choose how often they can be available to sing at Mass. Rehearsals are scheduled as needed. Some rehearsals take place 30 minutes before Mass.
