The OCIA Core Team helps develop and improve the OCIA Ministry for the Sheboygan Southside Catholic Parishes. Volunteers support the OCIA coordinator in OCIA events and advocate for participation by the parish community. Volunteers help conduct initial interviews with those wishing to become Catholic. They also help plan OCIA celebrations and liturgies and assist with OCIA rites during Mass. Members of the OCIA Core Team should have a desire to grow in and share the Catholic faith, the ability to work as a team, and an interest in and passion for evangelization and adult formation. The OCIA Core Team currently meets on the first Tuesday of each month from 5 to 6:30 pm, August through May, at the Faith Formation Office. Team members also help with projects and activities for an average of one hour a week. Volunteers are asked to make at least a one-year commitment to the team.
