Serve in a Meaningful Ministry: Be a Confirmation Retreat Chaperone

Are you looking for a way to make a lasting impact in the lives of young Catholics? Do you feel called to share your faith and walk alongside high school students as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation?

We invite you to consider serving as a Confirmation Retreat Chaperone—a vital and rewarding role in our parish’s faith formation ministry.

What Do Chaperones Do?

Chaperones help parish staff lead our annual Confirmation Retreat for high school students. Held at the beautiful Cedar Valley Retreat Center in West Bend, this two-day weekend retreat is a powerful experience of prayer, reflection, and community.

As a chaperone, you’ll:

• Offer witness talks that share your personal journey of faith
• Facilitate small group discussions that help teens explore their relationship with God
• Support retreat activities and help create a welcoming, faith-filled environment

Who Can Serve?

We’re looking for adults who:

• Can connect with high school students in a genuine and respectful way
• Are open, engaging, thoughtful, and fun
• Have a desire to grow in and share their Catholic faith

Safe Environment training is required, and we’ll guide you through that process.

Time Commitment

• Retreat Weekend: Two full days at Cedar Valley Retreat Center
• Pre-Retreat Meetings: Two to three one-hour gatherings at the Southside Catholic Parishes Faith Formation Office (next to Ss. Cyril & Methodius)
