Event chaperones help parish staff during faith formation events. Depending on the event, chaperones might prepare and serve food, bus tables, greet participants, facilitate activities, and support parish staff in additional ways. Events include activities such as the Advent Family Formation Night, Pancake Breakfast hosted by high school faith formation students, and the End of the Year Celebration for high school faith formation students. Safe Environment training is required for youth events. Each event lasts one to four hours, and chaperones are sometimes asked to attend one or two planning meetings before the event, with each meeting lasting about an hour.
