About Mr. Sanders

Hello! My name is Tom Sanders, and I am excited to teach K-8 Spanish and middle school health and co-teach pre-algebra and algebra at Christ Child Academy. In addition, I enjoy coordinating Student Service Council, as well as running our Dungeons and Dragons/role playing game club. Honestly, I just like being involved and helpful in whatever capacity I can.

I graduated from Olivet Nazarene University in 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree in elementary and middle school education, with a minor in Spanish. After graduation, I moved up to Sheboygan to find a relaxing community far away from the hectic and crowded Chicago suburbs.

The summer before high school, I traveled to Germany, France, Spain, and Switzerland, which inspired my love of traveling. In 2019, I spent two months in Cusco, Peru (thankfully missing covid by just a few months!), and then finally convinced my parents to go to Guatemala for Holy Week in 2024. All of those experiences have been formative moments in my life, and helped me to appreciate the vast diversity of culture and human experiences.

Beyond that, I enjoy traveling and exploring domestically, too! I've spent three summers working or exploring in Yellowstone National Park, and I've hiked over 250 miles of trails in that time. In 2024, I finally got a chance to explore Glacier National Park, making me reconsider my favorite national park. Do you have a recommendation? Let me know!

I’m excited to be part of Christ Child Academy. I believe that our community is a special place for each and every individual. There is something wonderful about learning and growing with all of our closest friends. I look forward to helping direct, encourage, and support the learning process of each and every student at Christ Child Academy.
