About Mrs. Meyer

Hi! I am Terri Meyer, the middle school Social Studies and Religion teacher, and the 6th-grade homeroom teacher. I graduated from Howards Grove High School and continued my education at UW – Sheboygan. I graduated from UW-Sheboygan with an Associate of Arts & Science (Ethnic Emphasis) Degree in 2000. I then went on to UW–Stevens Point. I graduated from UW–Stevens Point with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Broad Field Social Studies and History with a minor in Coaching Athletics in 2003. In May 2024, I earned my master’s degree in Educational Administration (Principal and Director of Instruction) at Concordia University. Before coming to CCA, I taught at Divine Savior Catholic School in Kiel and New Holstein for eight years.

In addition to teaching, I also enjoy coaching sports. I have coached Track and field for six years, with several of my athletes making it to the State Track and field meet in La Crosse, Wisconsin. I have coached volleyball at a variety of levels since 1999. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, attending concerts, learning foreign languages, reading, and athletics. I also enjoy traveling; most of my travels are in the summer.

My foreign travels began in 2011 when I traveled to Italy, and I was playing on a volleyball tour. On this tour, I went to the following cities: Rome, Grosseto, Florence, Pisa, and Venice. In the summer of 2012, I went to Italy for the second time; this time, I went strictly as a tourist. I traveled to Varenna (Lake Como), Viareggio, Sorrento, and Rome. Then, in 2013, I traveled to Costa Rica; on the trip, I spent time in the city of Arenal (near the volcano) and Manuel Antonio (one of the beach areas in the country). I went canyoning (rappelling down waterfalls), whitewater rafting, walking on the hanging bridges in the rain forest, zip lining in the rain forest, and kayaking on the Pacific Ocean. In 2014, I took my first cruise, which took me to the Southern Caribbean. Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos, La Romana, Dominican Republic, Curacao, and Aruba were the ports of call on the cruise. When at Grand Turk, I did the ATV Funtastic Tour around the island. I swam with the dolphins in the Dominican Republic and attended a Sea Lion show. Then, in Curacao, the excursion was a mini Jeep Adventure around the island and a Beach Escape. I visited the Natural Pool Off-Road Adventure in the Arikok National Park in Aruba. In the summer of 2015, I took a Contiki European Horizon High Energy Tour. This tour was just a brief sampling of what some European countries offer tourists. It was an exciting two weeks spent aboard where I visited London, England; Amsterdam, The Netherlands; St. Goar, Germany; Munich, Germany; Hopfgarten, Austria; Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland; Venice, Italy; and Paris, France. During Spring Break in 2016, I took a Beach Volleyball tour to Rio de Janeiro. While on this tour, I traveled to famous locations like Sugar Loaf, Santa Teresa, and Christ the Redeemer. I trained and played beach volleyball at the beaches of Leme, Copacabana (Yes, where the Olympians played), and Ipanema.

When I was growing up, my family took vacations, and in 2010, I started to travel to different locations in the United States. In 2010, I went to New York and saw two Broadway shows, a New York Yankees game, Liberty and Ellis Islands, amongst other places. In July 2016, I took a trip out West, where I visited San Diego, CA; Burbank, CA; San Francisco, CA; and Las Vegas, NV. Then, in the summer of 2017, I traveled to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where I visited the Liberty Bell and the “Rocky” Steps. I also played in the Pottstown Rumble, the nation’s largest grass doubles volleyball tournament. I took a road trip to nine states at the end of July. On the road trip, I stopped at the Field of Dreams in Iowa and went to the top of the Gateway Arch in St. Louis.

Moreover, I also visited Mount Rushmore in South Dakota and Devil’s Tower in Wyoming. Then I went to Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Washington. During this trip, I visited Crater Lake, played in the world’s largest beach volleyball tournament in Seaside, Oregon, and went to Pike Place Market in Seattle.

The summer of 2018 was busy for me. I was married in July and traveled to Hawaii for my honeymoon. I also completed the Bucky on Parade scavenger hunt in Madison. In the summer of 2019, my family and I took a trip to the New England states (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island). Some of the highlights of our trip were stopping at Ben & Jerry’s, catching a Red Sox game at Fenway Park, throwing tea in Boston Harbor, eating lunch at Cheers, and going to Acadia National Park. In June 2020, my family and I visited extended family in Florida. In the summer of 2021, my family did breakfast on the Farm in Fond du Lac County and went to the Old World Wisconsin site. The summer of 2022 was more of a staycation for the Meyer family. We had breakfast on the Farm in Fond du Lac County and went to Bookworm Gardens and the Milwaukee County Zoo. In June of 2023, we took a short trip to Minnesota and North Dakota; we went to the Mall of America, Minnehaha Falls, and Scheel’s in Fargo and rode on the Ferris wheel, originally at Disneyland. In June 2024, I took my two daughters on a trip to the Southwest, where we visited the Grand Canyon and the 4 Corners Monument and even took a ride in a self-driving car.  In June 2025, my girls and I road tripped to Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.

I am excited to be the social studies and religion teacher and share my travel and life experiences with the middle school students of Christ Child Academy.
