About Mrs. Richter

 Welcome to the Art Room and Resource Center!

My name is Sarah Richter and I am excited to be the Resource Center Coordinator and Art Teacher for Christ Child Academy! I earned a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from Mount Mary College in 2003 and taught Preschool and Kindergarten at a Catholic school for 5 years before staying home to raise my 4 children. My family has been an active part of CCA for the past 13 years when my oldest started Kindergarten. During that time, I have worked in the school as a substitute teacher, lunchroom helper, Home & School President, Extended Day Assistant, Preschool Aide, and Educational Assistant.

I look forward to bringing the joy of reading to the students here at CCA during their time in the library by reading stories aloud and completing fun reading-based activities. I feel it is important to expose children to the written language to help further their education as well as to ignite their imagination and explore new ideas.

As I take on a new role as the Art Teacher, I am excited to share my love of art and creativity. Through hands-on lessons, my students will learn about and create many different kinds of art. I believe everyone is an artist and I will encourage all students to do their best work.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, crafting, crocheting, and spending time with family and friends. I look forward to an exciting year!
