Winter Extravaganza Winter Extravaganza is our annual and by far our biggest and most needed fundraiser of the year! CCA Extravaganza 2021 “Virtual Edition” Winter Extravaganza as we traditionally know it will not be happening this year. Instead, we will be having – CCA Extravaganza 2021 “Virtual Edition”. What does that mean? That means we will be holding an online auction with a live virtual event to tune into on Saturday, March 20, 2021. Things that will remain the same… – We will be raising money for our great school Christ Child Academy – Lots of great silent auction items to bid on – Live auction items to bid on – Staff Giving Tree – Fund-a-cause – Raffle prizes What’s New? – Swag Boxes! – see below for details, limited quantity, order TODAY! – Event envelopes – Online FREE registration – everyone can participate! – Telethon – see below for details What is a “Swag Box”? As a fun addition to our event, we are offering Swag Boxes that are going to contain items from Old Wisconsin Sausage, Sargento Cheese, Broadway Popcorn, The Cookie Jar Girls, Harry’s Pizza Market, Larry’s Distributing & Rockline as well as entry into (3) raffles that will be unavailable anywhere else. There are only 50 of these fabulous boxes available and they are first come, first serve. You can purchase yours here – Swag Boxes The boxes will be ready to be picked up on Friday, March 19th from the Rectory garage from 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. You will be able to drive right up and we will put the box right in your vehicle. What is an Event Envelope? All auction participants that register by March 10th will receive an Event Envelope. This envelope is not to be opened until during the live event when the emcee directs you to do so. It will contain important info and a raffle. Details on how to register are listed below. How is the Silent Auction going to work? Silent Auction items will be available for viewing and bidding on the auction website beginning Monday, March 15th at 12:00 p.m. and will close on Saturday, March 20th at 9:00 p.m. sharp. Make sure to login and check out all the items early. You can mark your favorites or items that you want to watch. You can also set an autobid. How is the Live Auction going to work? We will have a few items for our “Live Auction” but it will not actually be live. The live auction items will be available to start bidding on Saturday, March 20th at 12:00 p.m. and will close at 9:00 p.m. sharp. During our live virtual event, the emcees will share some details about each of those items to encourage bidding. What is the Live Virtual Event? The Live Virtual Event will be on Saturday, March 20th from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. This will be a LIVE interactive event. The link to watch is on the auction bidding site, so as long as you are logged in, the video will play on the right side of your screen. We will highlight a few of our special “Live” auction items as well as show a few videos of our staff and kiddos in action. We will also be live drawing several auction items. You don’t want to miss out on this hour of fun! What is the Telethon? This year during our Live Virtual Event we will have people standing by if you want to call in a donation for our Fund-A-Cause. You will be able to pledge an amount that you can either pay with your credit card or mail in a check or cash. How do I bid and watch the live event at the same time? If you want to be able to do both, you will probably want to be using more than one device. It is possible to do both on one device but will be much easier if you do something like a computer and a smartphone or two computers. How do I register? Please go to our online bidding website as soon as you are able to Register. Follow the link – Online Auction Website, click on “Get Started”, then Create an account. You will be required to put a credit card on file on the secure website to be able to bid on items. The card that you put on file DOES NOT have to be the payment type that you use once the auction closes. You will have the opportunity at the end to pay with cash, check or an alternate credit card. Keep in mind that if you do choose to use your credit card there is a 4% fee that will be added on to your total. How do I get the items that I won? If you bid on and win a certificate, it will be mailed to you. If you bid on and win an item, you will need to be able to pick it up at Christ Child Academy. We will have a drive through pick up on Sunday, March 21st from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. in front of school by the gym doors (Door #3). You will simply pull up and one of our volunteers will come out to get your name and then we will help load the item(s) into your vehicle. Are donations still needed? We will continue to accept donations through March 5th. If you would like to donate gift cards, baskets, trips, parties or anything else, please turn them into the school office as soon as possible.
