School Counselor Mrs. Lampe My name is Veronica Lampe and I have been the school counselor at Christ Child Academy since 2009. I am a graduate of Elmhurst College with a Bachelor’s Degree, Lakeland College with a Master’s Degree and Capella University with Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Human Services with a specialization in Counseling Studies. My husband, son, daughter, and I live in Kohler in my childhood home that my parents built. I am thrilled to be back in the area and to have this wonderful opportunity working at CCA. I am at school on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I meet with students individually to provide a safe environment where students can expect an empathetic school counselor to help them develop skills to deal with personal and social issues. I design curriculum to present classroom lessons on topics like “Bullying” and “Protecting All God’s Children” for kindergarten through middle school. Lessons are taught in a developmentally appropriate manner utilizing a variety of teaching techniques. I also initiated a comprehensive counseling program that integrates character education, social and emotional learning and service-learning. The program includes thematic teaching units that help create a positive classroom environment and opportunities to reflection and practice of these skills. My classroom presentations and activities engage students with these themes and encourage them to demonstrate positive character traits. I find the school counseling position very rewarding and enjoyable because of my involvement with all of the students. Feel free to stop by or call the office on a Tuesday or Wednesday, or you can contact me by email at vlampe@christchildacademy.com .
