The maximum class size at Christ Child Academy Parish School are:
- Stepping Stones, 18

What is the school's curriculum?
Reading, Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, Spanish,
Art, Music, Computers and Physical Education are taught. In addition,
opportunities exist for art history, forensics, band, literature,
choir, athletics, Scouts and more.

What about religion?
Religious instruction happens in a variety of ways. First, as a
Catholic school, traditional Catholic-Christian values are part
of each aspect of our school curriculum and activities. In addition,
religion is taught as a subject at every grade level.

Do children attend Mass?
Mass is just one aspect of how we celebrate our life experiences
as a Catholic community through liturgy and prayer. Christ Child
Academy students participate in:
- Daily classroom prayer using a variety
of methods, including songs, formal and spontaneous prayer, and
Spiritual reflection;
- Classroom or all-school liturgies
for special events or the season of the year; and
- Weekly masses held each Friday at
Immaculate Conception Parish, occassional masses attended at St.
Peter Claver.
- A school-wide prayer service is held every
Monday morning.

What about other religious instruction
or preparation for receiving the Sacraments?
Preparation for First Reconciliation and First Communion are part
of classroom instruction at the appropriate age level.

What admission policies are followed
at Christ Child Academy?
Christ Child Academy Parish School follows admission policies and
guidelines set by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. The parish and school
respects the dignity of the child. Neither race, nationality or
other forms of discrimination shall prevent a child from accepted
in the school. In addition, Christ Child Academy has adopted the
following steps for enrolling students:
- Families who already have children enrolled
in the school will have first opportunity and preference.
- Enrollment of new families follow these
guidelines:
- Preference is given to registered
CCA parishioners according to the date they registered in
the Parish.
- Among CCA Parishioners, preference
is given to families living in the geographical boundaries
for the CCA School districts.
- Preference will be given to
Catholic vs. non-Catholic families because we are a Catholic
Parish School.
- Non-parishioners living within
the geographical school district boundaries receive preference
over those not living in the area.

Is there a registration fee?
CCA Parish School requires payment of a non-refundable $100.00
per child registration fee at time of registration which is deducted
from tuition balance.

When does registration begin for first-time
families?
Open Enrollment begins March 1.

Is there a waiting list?
When a class is filled, a family may place their name on a waiting
list. Conscientious effort is made to make enrollment in CCA Parish
School available to all who request it.

What is the school's daily schedule?

All students may enter the building at 8:10am
and when first bell rings, the second bell rings at 8:20am when
classes begin.

Two CCA graduates were co-valedictorians at Sheboygan area high
schools in June 2006. In the last three years, Christ Child Academy
has had four alumni achieve the honor of Valedictorian at area
high schools!
38% of CCA graduates who graduated from high school in 2006 graduated
in the top 10% of their class.
63% graduated in the top 25% of their class.
63% of CCA graduates who graduated from high school in 2006 were
on the Honor Roll.
50% of CCA graduates who graduated from high school in 2006 were
members of National Honor Society.
Our Students
The Wisconsin Reading and Comprehension Test is administered to
third graders statewide every spring. Based on their test performance,
students are rated as Minimal, Basic, Proficient or Advanced.
The graph below illustrates our students’ consistent performance
well above the state and local averages.
The Iowa Basic Skills Test is
taken by 1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th graders every March. The test
covers reading, social studies, science and math. Based on the
results of all CCA students, a “grade
equivalent” composite is determined. This score indicates
the grade level of our average student’s general knowledge.

How to read the results:
Percentile Scale is 0 to 100%
The Grade Equivalent Average Composite shows, for example that our
average first grader has a reading/knowledge level of an average
second grader in their fourth month of school.

Hot
lunch program?
The Hot Lunch Program at Christ Child Academy serves meals under
the National School Lunch Program provided by the Sheboygan Area
School District. The hot lunch consists of a hot pack, a cold pack
and a carton of milk. Milk can be purchased separately as well.
Hot Lunch tickets and milk tickets can be purchased in the school
office. Each ticket consists of ten punches. Prices for these tickets
are established at the beginning of every school year.
To apply for free or reduced price meals,
households must fill out an application which can be obtained
through the school office. The information provided on the application
will be used for the purpose of determining eligibility and may
be verified at any time during the school year by school or D.P.I.
officials. Applications may e submitted at any time during the
school year. No child will be dsicriminated against because of
race, color, sex, national origin, age or disability.
A Hot Lunch Menu is provided by the Sheboygan
Area School District and is distributed to all famlies via the
school carrier. The menu can also be located on line by going
to the SASD website, www.sheboygan.k12.wi.us. Students may choose
and pick from the menu on a daily basis. Sign up is done every
morning in the individual classrooms.
There are two lunch hours during the day.
The first lunch hour for Grades 5-8 begins at 11:30 and goes until
12:00 with recess included. The second lunch hour for Grades K-4
begins at 12:00 and ends at 12:30, recess included. Parents supervise
the lunch hour.
