Welcome to Music

My name is Annie Kincaid, and I am very pleased to be in my second year of teaching music at Christ Child Academy!  This year in addition to teaching general music on Wednesdays and Fridays I  will be taking over the position of band director.  As such, I will be available during school on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays to teach not only your typical band instruments (trumpet & flute for example) but string instruments (violin, viola, cello & bass) as well.

I am a state certified teacher with a bachelor’s degree in general and instrumental music. I perform in the first violin section of the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra and am a former member of Lakeland College’s Concert Choir, where we performed two of my original compositions.

Singing has long been a passion for me. In elementary school I sang in our school’s choir and also accompanied on piano. In middle school I sang with the advanced touring choir. As an adult I was a member of our church choir until my husband and I moved from Illinois four years ago.

I have been married for almost 16 years. My husband, Kevin Kincaid, is a talented chef and is a chef instructor and program coordinator at Lakeshore Technical College’s culinary school. Needless to say, I enjoy wonderful dinners at home!

In our spare time Kevin and I like listening to and playing music (he plays guitar and sings). We also enjoy kayaking and taking nature hikes with our dog, Luna.

I look forward to working with the students and parents at Christ Child Academy. I’m eager to develop a music curriculum that meets the needs of my individual students and strengthens their civic, ethical, and spiritual values. Please feel free to email me at akincaid@christchildacademy.com with questions, suggestions, or just to say hello!
