Fourth of July Parade – Please Join Your CCA Friends!!
Christ Child Academy will participate in the 4th of July parade for the city of Sheboygan. The parade will be on Saturday, July 4 at 9 am. We hope that all CCA families will plan to march with us. We will have candy and other favors to pass out to spectators. Children and adults are encouraged to wear CCA apparel and/or patriotic apparel and to decorate their bikes and wagons in a patriotic theme. No scooters, skateboards, roller blades or roller skates are allowed. An email informing families of our staging location will be sent in late June to all who have their emails listed in the school directory. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer to help, please contact Laura Kittelson at 803-9768.

Volleyball Coaching Opportunity
CCA is in need of a 5/6 girls volleyball coach for the upcoming season (Aug 15 through Oct 31). If you are interested or know someone who would be a good fit please contact Gary Oehldrich at oehldrich@sbcglobal.net or 452-0610.    All candidates must be 21 years of age or older.

2nd Annual Friends of the Poor® Walk
Mark your calendars now for the 2nd Annual Friends of the Poor® Walk, a unique fund-raising effort organized locally by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on September 19, 2009 at the South High School Track. All proceeds will benefit the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.

Many CCA families benefit from Tuition Assistance through the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Participating in the walk is a great way to give back. Come and help support this wonderful society.

Summer Bible Camp
A one-day bible camp will be held for children Jr. K - grade 4 on Wednesday, August 19th at the Immaculate Conception grounds.  A family cookout will conclude the day. Watch the Sunday church bulletins for further details.

Market Day Notes
We are in need of two parent volunteers to help with Market Day deliveries for the 2009-2010 school year. This volunteer opportunity requires help on one Thursday each month from 3:00 to 4:00 pm. If you are interested in helping with this vital fundraiser, please contact the school office or Sara Kaffine at 208-0556. Thank you!

Lunchroom Notes
The lunchroom is currently in need of plastic spoons, bread and snacks (applesauce, pudding, or jello cups, granola bars, cheese & cracker packs, etc.). Thank you in advance for your donations.

Milk Cap Collection
The Kids Caps & Cash (Foremost Farms) program will be ending with the 2008-2009 school year. Now is the time to send in any of these specially-marked milk caps. The Kids Caps & Cash milk caps will need to be counted and shipped off by July 1, 2009. If you’ve been saving these caps, please send them in ASAP! We will still be collecting the Milk Moola (Kwik Trip) and Kemps (Nickels for Schools) caps indefinitely. Thank you! --Paula Hilbert, Milk Cap Coordinator.

Campbell’s Soup program
Tricia Brickley has volunteered to take charge of the Campbell’s Soup program for the 2009-2010 school year. Thank you to Diane Geydoshek, who has taken care of this program for a number of years. We appreciate all your help!

Looking For Some Volunteer Work?
Diane Geydoshek is looking for someone to take over the Campbell's Program and the CCA Clothing line. Most of the work can be done at your convenience in your own home. If interested, please contact Phyllis in the office or Diane at 457-6062. Thank you.

Attention CCA Students!
We are currently looking for students who are “Giving Back” to our community.  If you have done something within this school year, we would like to know about it!   Examples would be: if you helped an elderly person with yard work, or donated your time to help someone in need.  Remember, it needs to have happened during this school year.  You can either email the information to: tuz@excel.net or drop a note in the office.  Thank You! --The Communications Committee
