Announcements

As we approach the end of the 2009-10 school year, we say “goodbye” to a number of our school families whose last child is graduating this year.  We thank them for being part of the CCA family and wish the students well as they enter high school.  We extend our thanks for all the hours of service these families have given to make our school a great place for learning.  We hope you’ll come back and see us.

The CCA Governance Board has discerned new officers
We welcome Jim Opgenorth as President, Tom Binversie as Vice President, Shelley Tuzinkewich as Secretary, and Tom Brickley as Treasurer.  Members at large include Georgeann Walecka, Frank Souik, and Jeremiah Landwehr.  We extend a special thank you to Kurt Tuzinkewich and Kim Werla, who are stepping down after dedicating many hours to our school through service on the Governance Board.  We appreciate all your efforts on our behalf.

Campbells SoupKeep Collecting This Summer
Thank you to those who have been collecting Campbell's Soup labels. We collected a whopping 15,800 labels this year, which will allow us to buy lots of great supplies and equipment for CCA. Please continue collecting over the summer and either drop them off at one of the three parishes or bring them to school in fall. Labels are an easy way to help the school, so enlist your family, friends and neighbors, too! If you have any questions, please contact Tricia Brickley at 803-0172 or tntbrickley@aol.com.

Hot Lunch Program
If you are interested in being a substitute for the lunch program next school year, please contact Mrs. DeLorme.

Bbysitter’s Training Course
The Sheboygan County Chapter of the American Red Cross is offering two babysitter training classes this summer.  The classes will be offered on Monday, June 21st and Tuesday, July 20th from 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.  This course instructs youth on how to care for infant through school-aged children by teaching them how to prevent injuries and what to do in an emergency.  They will also learn how to change diapers, feed children, discipline, and perform basic first aid.  To be eligible for this class, it is recommended that participants be at least 11 years old.  Class size is limited to12 students, so early registration is recommended.  The cost for the one-day class is $30.00.  Registration forms are available in the alcove outside the preschool classroom.

CCA’s Annual Camping Trip
Mark your calendars!  The date for CCA’s annual camping trip has been set for September 24 and 25 at Kohler-Andre State Park.  Make your reservation now because the park does fill up early.  More details will be available later.  Hope for good weather!  Any questions, please call Jody at 451-4790.

Athletic Note – Attention Parents and Students!
All student athletes are required to have a physical examination every two years in order to participate in school athletic programs.  Green physical cards are included in today’s carrier for all current 4th graders and for any student whose green card expires at the end of this school year.  Please have your doctor fill out the card when your child is examined and return it to school next fall.  Please plan to have your child’s physical completed during the summer, so they will be ready to start the fall sports season.
